so... crunchyroll has been super frustrating for me lately. My internet is totally fine, but the app still buffers all the time, randomly drops the video quality, and sometimes just freezes right in the middle of an episode. I’ve tried watching on different devices and it happens either way. Annoying, especially when I’m paying for it.

Like I said, the search works well and it finds shows really fast. Like I said, I just wish the filters were a little better, because that part could use some improvement.

Crunchyroll works well when the show is actually available, but that’s the whole issue. I’ll click on an anime and suddenly it’s “not available in your region,” like there’s some secret wall deciding what I’m allowed to watch. After a while it starts feeling less like bad luck and more like the catalog is being sliced up behind the scenes on purpose.

I don’t mind paying for a streaming service, but it’s frustrating when the library depends so much on where you live. I wish they were way more upfront about it before you subscribe, because finding out afterward makes it feel like you only got access to the decoy version of the app.

I’m using the free version the ads do show up, but they’re not some unbearable nightmare. I can still watch my shows without paying a dime, which feels like a tiny victory in this dramatic little economy. So yeah, I’m happy with it.

I moved over from Funimation it was sooo much more annoying than I expected. Some shows didn’t show up right away, my watchlist was all over the place, and I kept getting logged out for no obvious reason.

Support did get back to me, but it felt slow and kind of copy-pasted. Crunchyroll is working now, thankfully, but yeahhh, the whole migration just left me with a bad impression.

Sometimes the recommendations are surprisingly good, and I’ll find something I end up watching for hours. But then other times it keeps pushing stuff I’d never be interested in, which gets frustrating. I just wish it was easier to find new shows I actually like...

I ordered a figure and a couple of manga volumes, but one of the manga they sent was the wrong one. The figure was fine, so at least that part worked out, but now I have to go through support and wait around for a replacement. What made it more annoying is that it wasn’t really clear who was supposed to take ownership of fixing it. I kept feeling like I was getting passed around instead of someone just saying, “Yep, we’ll handle this.” Not the end of the world, but for such a simple order, it was a frustrating hassle.

I mostly use Crunchyroll because the content library is really solid. There are tons of older shows, new seasons, and even random anime I’ve never heard of before, which is fun when I’m in the mood to try something new. I also appreciate that a lot of series have both sub and dub options. The only small downside is that I sometimes end up browsing for way longer than I actually watch, but that’s not the worst problem to have. If you’re an anime fan, it’s pretty much worth it.

I expected Crunchyroll profiles to be way better by now. They’re so basic that they barely feel useful. My watch history gets mixed up or weird, the recommendations don’t really match what I actually watch, and switching between profiles is clunkier than it should be. This is standard stuff for a streaming app, so it’s frustrating that it still feels unfinished. Crunchyroll really needs to take responsibility and fix the profile experience instead of leaving users to deal with something that feels half done...

I had a feeling I should download a few episodes before my flight, and I’m glad I did. They played perfectly the whole time with no hiccups. Such a handy feature when you don’t want to worry about Wi-Fi.

I like the shows and all, no real complaint there. The billing side is where it gets kind of messy. My payment went through fine one month, then the next month it suddenly said there was a problem, even though my card was totally fine. I don’t know, it just felt like one of those weird system issues. The account page isn’t super clear either. I had to poke around for a while just to figure out where to change my plan and see my renewal date. Support did help me eventually, so it wasn’t a total disaster, but it could definitely be easier to use. Just feels a bit clunky and confusing

This was weirdly refreshing. The package showed up fast, the tracking was actually accurate for once, and there was zero drama. No mystery delays, no “out for delivery” for three days, no random nonsense. It just arrived like it was supposed to. I’d definitely order again

Search is hit or miss too, sometimes it just doesn’t bring up what I’m obviously looking for. It works, technically, but using it feels way more frustrating than it should.

Crunchyroll does have a huge anime library, I’ll give it that, but I’m starting to wonder if the price is really justified. I only watch a handful of shows, yet it feels like I’m paying as if I’m on there every single day. The app can be glitchy too, which makes the whole thing feel even more questionable. It’s not awful, but something about the cost versus what I actually use just doesn’t sit right with me anymore.

Crunchyroll is fine when it actually works, but the release timing drives me crazy. A show will say it’s dropping at a certain time, and then it’s either late or just not there at all yet. I’m paying so I can watch new episodes right away, not sit there refreshing the app and checking Reddit to see if everyone else is having the same issue. It happens often enough that I kind of feel trapped with the service because it’s where the shows are, but it still feels unreliable...

I use Crunchyroll on my phone, laptop, and Fire TV, and for the most part it’s been easy to jump between them. It usually remembers where I left off, which is one of the main reasons I keep using it without thinking too much.
That said, the few times it doesn’t sync right or acts a little inconsistent, it does make me trust the app a bit less. Casting to the TV has still worked fine for me overall, and I like having anime available wherever I’m watching, but I’m starting to notice the small hiccups more than I used to.

I usually watch Crunchyroll by casting it to my TV, and for the most part it works fine. It connects quickly, usually within a few seconds, and the picture looks sharp once it gets going. The only thing I keep noticing is that screen mirroring can lag a bit or randomly drop right after an episode ends, especially when the next one is about to start. It’s not a dealbreaker or anything, but when I’m binge watching, that tiny pause and having to reconnect gets annoying.

Crunchyroll works fine most of the time, but the way some seasons and episodes are organized is confusing. Sometimes specials are mixed in with the regular episodes, or things show up in a weird order, which makes it annoying when you’re just trying to start a new show and watch it properly, if that makes sense.

The hoodie itself is actually really nice — the material feels good and the print came out clean. The shipping box was beat up when it arrived, though, which made me a little nervous, if that makes sense. Overall happy with the merch.
